Snap Happier Purse & Tote Pattern

The Snap Happier Purse & Tote Pattern has instructions for handy inside pocket and a practical snap top closure using a metal carpenter tape that forms a hinge.  The purse's finished size is 10" and the tote is 16".

Materials Needed:

Fabric Requirements:

  Smaller purse size -  

• 1/2 yard for outer fabric 
• 1/3 yard for lining 
• 1/4 yard coordinates for top edge and handles 
• 1/2 yard batting or pellon fleece 
• 1 yard of interfacing   

Larger Tote Size -

• 1 yard for tote outside 
• 1/2 yard coordinates for lining 
• 1/2 yard contrast for top edge, and handles 
• 1 yard of fusible pellon or batting  
• 1 1/2 yards of medium-weight interfacing  

Notions: 

• metal carpenter tap 1 inch wide  
• interfacing 
• fusible batting or pellon 
• matching threads 
• 2 yards of handle webbing, optional
