Cargo Pocket Purse Pattern

The Cargo Pocket Purse Pattern has a sleek design with instructions for an adjustable strap that can be worn cross body or over the shoulder.  This purse can be made from recycled men's cargo pants and shirt or use your own fabric.  There is a handy large front flap pocket and the  finished size is 10 1/4"W x 11 1/4"H x 2"D.

Materials Needed:

• COTTON FABRIC VERSION:  3/4 yard of 45" wide fabric for front cargo pocket, front and back purse, purse flap and gusset lining and inside pocket (Fabric A)
• 3/4 yard of 45" wide fabric for purse flap, handle, purse lining, and pocket (Fabric B)
• 3/8 yard for gusset and bias pocket binding (Fabric C)
• 1 and 1/2 yards of lightweight fusible interfacing
• 2" of hook and loop tape
• RECYCLED VERSION:
• One pair of men's cargo pants size 34 or larger (the bigger the better)
• One all cotton or  cotton blend men's dress shirt size large or extra large with  a pocket
• 1 and 1/2 yards lightweight fusible interfacing
• 2" rectangular ring or D-ring
• 2" inside diameter recycled or new buckle with a center bar (slider buckle)
