The Wave on Wave shoulder bag uses a combination traditional applique and fabrics. Finished size is 13 1/2" x 14", excluding the shoulder strap.
Materials Needed:
- 10" x 16" piece of blue print fabric for applique background
- 10" x 16" piece of brown print fabric for applique background
- Five 2 1/2" x 14" strips from five different coordinating fabrics for appliqued waves (or fabric strips from a jelly roll)
- 8 1/2" x 15 1/2" piece of large flowered printed fabric for one half of back side of bag
- 8 1/2" x 15 1/2" piece of striped fabric for other half of back side of bag
- 6" x 45" strip of flowered printed fabric for shoulder strap
- Two 16" x 16" pieces of low loft batting
- Two 18" x 18" pieces of muslin for backing
- Two 15" x 1" pieces of fabric for lining
- Two 1 3/4" x 3" fabric scraps for magnetic closure lining
- One 1/2" diameter magnetic closure
