A Load To Tote Pattern *

A Load To Tote pattern by Simone Gooding is a unique flat travel bag with an applique on the front, a book pocket, and a rectangular handle.  Finished size is 33" square.  Pattern pieces are included for the bag and appliques.

Materials Needed:

• 12" x 29" (31cm x 74cm) fabric for case sides
• 5" x 29" (13cm x 74cm) fabric for case center panel
• 40" x 30" (102cm x 76cm) fabric for lining
• 40" x 30" (102cm x 76cm) bag batting
• 9" x 17" (23cm x 43cm) book pocket
• 14" x 13" (36cm x 33cm) pencil pocket
• 3 1/2" x 17" (9cm x 43cm) ruler pocket
• 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" (9cm x 22cm) card pocket
• 40" x 30" (102cm x 76cm) weaveline or light iron-on interfacing
• 20" x 1/2" (50cm x 12mm) wide bias tape
• Assorted fabrics for bag tags at least 7" x 4" (18cm x 10cm)
• Assorted pieces of 100% wool hand dyed felt for the apple, sun, and bird, no smaller than 4" x 4" (10cm x 10cm)
• DMC embroidery thread to match the bag tags and felt
• Vlisofix
• Brown Pigma pen
