Basket Bag Pattern

The Basket Bag pattern by Square Rose uses fabric weaving options including raw-edged random curved strips, raw-edge random straight strips, or finished edge strips for 3 different bag designs.  Finished bag is approximately 11" H x 9" W.

Materials Needed:

• BAGS 1 and 2: 
• Bag upper section, inside cord casing, straps and vertical woven strips - 1/2 yard of Fabric A
• Bag bottom, outside cord casing, straps, and horizontal woven strips - 1/2 yard of Fabric B
• Lining - 3/4 yard with two sectional pockets or 3/8 yard with one sectioned pocket
• BAG 3:
• Bag upper section, inside cord casing, and vertical woven strips - 3/4 yard of Fabric A
• Bag bottom, outside cord casing, and horizontal woven strips - 3/4 yard of Fabric B
• Lining - 3/4 yard with two sectioned pockets or 3/8 yard with one sectioned pocket
• Fusible web - 2 pieces 7" x 14"
• ADDITIONAL NOTIONS:
• Fusible fleece - 1/2 yard of lightweight fusible fleece
• Lightweight woven fabric for backing - 2 pieces 14" x 12"
• Optional lightweight interfacing for inside pockets - 1/4 yard
• Cord - 2 yards of 1/4 to 3/8 sturdy, non-abrading cord
• Painter's Blue (Easy release) Tape (Bags 1 or 2)
