Materials Needed:
FOR THE UPTOWN HANDBAG (Finished size is 17 1/2"W x 7"H)
- 3" of 3/4" Sew-on Velcro
- 1/2 yard of fabric for the exterior
(Allow extra for matching up a pattern on your fabric ) - 1/2 yard of fabric for the lining
- 1 yard heavyweight fusible interfacing such as Pellon Craft Fuse
- Fabric marker or tailor's chalk
FOR THE DOWNTOWN PURSE (Finished size is 17 1/2" x 7"H)
- 1 in. of 3/4 in. Sew-on Velcro
- 3/4 yard of fabric for the exterior (Allow extra for matching up a pattern on your fabric)
- 3/4 yard of fabric for the lining
- 1 yard heavyweight fusible interfacing such as Pellon Craft Fuse
- 1/2 yard of Boning (sold by the yard or in packages)
- Fabric marker or tailors chalk
FOR THE FABRIC FLOWERS
NOTE: This is enough material and notions to make one large and one small fabric flower.
- 1/4 yard of one lightweight fabric for flower petal fronts
- 1/4 yard of a coordinating lightweight fabric for flower petal backs
- 1/4 yard of Wonder Under (double sided, fusible interfacing)
- 2 decorative buttons for the center of the flowers
- (2) 1" sew-on craft pin backs and/or hair barrette backs
- Thimble
