Bellanca Bag Pattern

 The Bellanca Bag by Lila Tueller is a diaper bag sized purse with lots of roomy pockets, and a drawstring top with a magnetic clasp closure.

Materials Needed:

• 1/2 yd main fabric for the upper part (band) of the bag and outside pockets
• 2/3 yd coordinating fabric for bottom part of bag (base) and inside pockets
• 2/3 yd fabric for lining
• 1/2 yd contrast fabric for straps, tabs, cords, and outside pocket bands
• 1 yd cottom batting such as Warm & Natural
• 1/2 yd of 1/4" elastic for outside pockets
• 1 1/2 yd fusible fleece
• 2/3 yd medium weight muslin
• Large and small safety pins
• 4 parge wooden beads with 1/4" holes
• 4 metal rings for straps
• Plastic canvas, at least 5" x 22" (found in craft stores used for needle point)
• One magnetic clasp set
• Grommet setting tool and at least 16 grommets: size 7/16" or 1/2" (Can be purchased at Home Depot)
• Small scrap (approximately 5" x 8") of non-fusible medium weight interfacing for tracing "Tab" pattern piece
