Tote Pattern-Stitchin' Time

The Tote Bag pattern (Stitchin' Time) by Design Originals has instructions for embroidery and applique.  Finished size is 12 inches x 12 inches plus the handle and full size pattern pieces are not included.  This pattern comes with 12 red buttons.

Materials Needed:

• BLACK PURSE: 1/2 yd of black velvet fabric for bag
• 1/2 yd red fabric for lining and pocket
• 1/8 yd red fabric 3 1/2 inches x 8 inches for lips applique
• DMC red floss #666
• 7 inch red tassel
• WHITE PURSE: 1/2 yd white fabric for bag
• 1/2 yd red fabric for lining and pocket
• 4 red buttons
• DMC red floss #666
• 1 yd scarlet ostrich feathered fringe
• RED PURSE: 1/2 yd red fabric for bag
• 1/2 yd purple fabric for lining and pocket
• 1/4 yd muslin for embroidery applique
• 2 red buttons
• DMC red floss #666
• FOR ALL TOTES: optional: 7 inch zipper for inside pocket
• 2 inch Velcro
• 4 grommets 1/2 inch
• 4 key rings 1 inch
• 48 inches of 16 gauge wire for handle
• Old pencil for winding wire
• Assorted large hole beads forhandle
• TIP: 'Sandcastle' is a good fabric for sturdy tote bags
