Sling Bag/Purse Pattern

 The Sling Bag/Purse Pattern by Connie Hester of Hester's Cottage is a comfortable shoulder/sling bag with easy to follow directions and pattern pieces.  Finished size is 10 inches x 8 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches.

Materials Needed:

• Purse With Self Strap: 1 1/8 yd 36 inch wide fashion fabric
• OR Purse With Purchased Strap: 1/2 yd 36 inch wide fashion fabric
• 30 inch - 39 inch purchased belt whole buckle can be cut off
• PLUS - ALL STYLES:
• 1/2 yd 36 inch wide lining fabric
• 1 5/8 yd 20 inch wide fusible web
• 1/2 yd 36 inch wide fleece padding
• 2 1/4 yd corded piping, OR 1/2 yd fabric & 2 1/4 yd 3/16 inches - 1/4 inches cording to make your own
• One 3/4 inch magnetic snap (optional)
• Size 16 sewing maching needle (jeans/leather)
• Optional Pieced Front: fabric scraps (Patterns included)
• If you use quilted or heavy upholstery fabric, you may not need to pad with fleece.  Decrease fusible web required by 1/2 yd.
