The Butterflies and Blooms is a pattern to make a toy bag with a butterfly applique and a tote bag with a drawstring and with applique flowers for a little girl. The finished size of the bag is 14" x 21". A pattern pieces for the front pocket is included.
Materials Needed:
- BUTTERFLY TOY BAG: Fat 1/8th of approximately 16 - 20 different colored fabrics for squares, daisies and applique
- 40cm (16") of background fabric for main part of bag
- 40cm (16") of fabric for lining
- 10cm (4") fabric for handles
- 20cm (8") of fusible webbing (able to be sewn)
- BLOOM TOTE BAG: 35cm (14") of main fabric for bag
- Assorted fabric scraps for applique and daisies - need at least 8 - 10 different fabrics
- 10cm (4") fabric for casing
- 2m (2 yards) of cord for drawstring
- 35 cm (14") fabric for lining
- 20cm (8") fusible webbing (able to be sewn)
- 12 beads for ends of drawstring cord (optional)
- 35cm (14") of pom pom braid (optional)
