New York Style Tote Pattern

The New York Style Bag Pattern by Sisters' Common Thread is a pattern for a professionally styled tote bag with double handles, a decorative "V" section in the middle, and cording at each end. There are multiple organizational pockets and a hidden front pocket. Finished size is 24"W x 13"H x 4"D.

Materials Needed:

• 1 and 1/8 yards fabric #1 - left and right background panels (large stripe)
• 3/4 yard fabric #2 - circle trim and handles (small stripe)
• 1 and 1/8 yards fabric #3 - Center "V" panel, hardware and closure tab (large floral)
• 1 and 1/8 yards fabric #4 - lining
• 2 and 1/2 yards - medium weight iron-on interfacing 20" wide
• 1 package (50" x 18") Nifty Notions Mesh
• 4 yards - fold-over elastic
• 2 and 1/2 yards - 1/8" welt cord
• 1 yard package - In-R-Form
• (4) 1 and 1/2" D-rings or square buckles
• (2) magnetic snaps
• 1 pair - 45" or longer shoestrings for bag end draw cords or similar cording material of your choice
• (2) Cord stops of the size to accommodate above laces/cords
• Pony type beads to fit on the cords for trim
