Bar Harbor Tote Pattern

The Bar Harbor Tote bag pattern by Aunties Two is a stylish purse that comes in two sizes! This tote pattern has instructions for a unique woven effect and can also be made from a single fabric or even two fabrics. Finished size is Medium: 16"W x 13"H x 6"D and LARGE: 18"W x 13"H x 6"D.

Materials Needed:

• FABRIC:
• Horizontal Weaving Strips - 1.5 yards
• Vertical Weaving Strips - 1 and 3/4 yards
• Binding, Handles, Optional Closure - 3/4 yard
• Optional Lining with pockets - 1 yard
• INTERFACING:
• Weaving strips - 1 yard (36" x 58")
• In-R-Form Single sided fusible by Bosal (foam based stabilizer)
• OPTIONAL LINING - 1 yard x 45" wide
• Durafuse by Bosal or Decor Bond by Pellon
• Buttons (optional) - 8 buttons (about 1" each) for the sides. These are sewn on the lower corners of the top weaving strip to add shape to the bag. Also, 2 large decorative buttons, if adding a closure
• 1 Magnetic Snap (optional) - Prong type or sew-in type, if adding an optional closure
• 1/4" Plumbing Tubing (optional) - 6 feet (can be found at hardware stores)
