T Shirt Bag Pattern

This is a pattern for a bag made from a recycled T shirt. There are instructions for pockets inside and 2 additional outside pockets - one on the front and one on the back. This bag uses either a medium sized T shirt or a child's size shirt.

Materials Needed:

• One medium T-shirt will make a T-shirt bag - T-shirts larger than a medium are too big around the armhole and neckline.
• Take your pre-cut T-shirt with you to the fabric store - more fabric may be needed for directional prints
• T-shirt lining and bottom bag support - 1 yd
• Straps, ruffles and inside upper pockets - 3/4 yd
• Inside lower pockets - 1/2 yd
• Front and back T-shirt pockets (optional) - 1/2 yd
• Strap rings, round, square, or D-rings - 4 size 2" or 2 1/2"
• Velcro for bag closure - 5/8" wide
• No-sew fabric glue
