The Ashley tote bag pattern is easy to make using 2 1/2" wide strips! This pattern has 8 inside pockets plus a cell phone pocket and an MP3 player pocket on each side. Finished size is 11 1/4" tall x 13 3/4" wide x 4" deep.Materials Needed: You will nedd a total of 9 (minimum) 2 1/2" x 40" strips. For a larger variety of design, use 18 or more strips.
- Front, back, sides, ties and bottom of purse - a total of 2/3 yd of fabric
- Lining fabric & inside pockets - 7/8 yd
- Handles & front loop closure - 1/3 yd
- Crib size of 1/2 yd of 45" wide batting or 1/2 yd heavyweight flannel fabric
- 1/4 yd of 1/2" wide elastic
