Lots of folks have been waiting for this pattern! The Mini Professional Tote Pattern is a smaller version of the popular Professional Tote by The Creative Thimble.  This tote is packed with organizational features such as 10 pockets, including a secure padded free standing zippered pocket in the lining big enough to hold your tablet.  Outside are 2 patch pockets and an additional zippered pocket along with 2 pleated side pockets on each end of the bag.There are comfortable double handles and the finished size is 15"W x 12"H x 4"D.

The Polstead Heath Messenger Bag Pattern is a 1940's vintage inspired shoulder bag with a unique pleated front pocket. Use your imagination to use interesting contrasting material for the pocket! You can make this purse pattern with or without the front tab detail and there are instructions for a matching fabric strap or try on of the one purchased straps. Complete the look with vintage buttons for a one-of-a-kind handbag! Finished size is 12 1/2"(32cm)H x 15" (38cm)W.

Materials Needed:

  • Approx ¾ yard (70cm) of 54” (140cm) wide or 1 yard of 44” (112cm) wide exterior fabric
  • 2/3 yard (60cm) of 44” (92cm) wide lining fabric
  • ½ yard of 36” (92cm) wide sew-in craft interfacing
  • 2/3 yard (60cm) of 36” (92cm) wide fusible interfacing
  • 5” (13cm) x 40” (102cm) of fusible web
  • 1 magnetic snap set
  • 2 buttons approx. 1¼” (35mm) diameter to trim front tab

This pattern makes an oversize quilted tote with separating zippers on each side edge to unzip into a beach mat! After your day at the beach, simply refold and zip up to carry in your tote which can additionally hold the included pillow pattern, books, etc.

The outside pockets are perfect for sunglasses, lotion, cell phone, etc. and the finished size is 16 1/2"H x 24"W for the tote which unfolds into 24"x 26" beach mat. The finished pillow measures 14" x 20".

Materials Needed: 44/45"-wide fabric*

  • * 40” of usable width
  • 2 yards double-faced quilted fabric*
  • 1/2 yard muslin for pillow form
  • 5/8 yard contrasting fabric for bias binding
  • (2) 16"-long separating zippers with narrow plastic teeth (not the sports type with wide teeth)
  • 3-1/4 yards nylon, cotton, or polyester webbing for the straps
  • Polyester fiberfill for the pillow--enough to stuff the pillow to the desired firmness
