May, 2011

Welcome to PursePatterns.com Newsletter for May, 2011!

We went to the Quilt Market in Salt Lake City, Utah and I was truly impressed by the creativity of all the purse pattern designers! We found new designers and will be adding lots of patterns over the coming months.

We are also working on our own bag pattern line which will be geared toward the beginner and I plan on having this line available in the Fall. Here is a cover photo of my first pattern:

DESIGNER OF THE MONTH:

Creative Thimble: Laura Martell is the creator of Creative Thimble and has been sewing most of her life. Her love of handbag making began in 1990 when she saw a tote bag in a designer catalog and decided to try and make the bag herself - a true purse fashionista was subsequently born!

Her latest creation is a classic in my opinion - just the right size, functional with lots of organizational features, and perfect to keep you moving along all day with everything you need without the bulk! Check out all the goodies available in the Ursula & Emily Bag Pattern!
