Safi Bag Pattern *

 The Safi pattern by Monica Poole is a reproduction of a french purse with a piped center front seam and an easy to apply zipper.  Beads & crystals can be applied to make this style your own!  There are 2 different sizes;  The SMALL bag measures 9 1/2" x 15" and the LARGE bag is 12" x 20".

Materials Needed:

• SMALL BAG - Main fabric - 1/3 yd
• Lining & straps - 3/4 yd
• Heavy backing interfacing - 5/8 yd
• Thin iron on Pellon - 5/8 yd
• 18" open end zipper
• LARGE BAG - Main fabric - 3/8 yd
• Lining & Straps - 7/8 yd
• Heavy backing interfacing - 2/3 yd
• Thin iron on Pellon - 2/3 yd
• 22" open end zipper
• ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Size 1 piping cord - 7/8 yd
• Optional brooch & beaded tassel
• Optional sequins and beads
