Amani Bag Pattern *

The Amani Bag Pattern by Stitchin' Sisters includes sewing instructions and pattern templates for creating a handy compact bag that holds your cell phone, credit cards and all the essentials of life on the go! This handy compact bag holds all the essentials for life on the go! The Amani Bag is lined prior to sewing together. Using the same fabric for both the outside and the lining gives it a professional, finished look. The inside of this bag features three credit card pockets, two main pockets to hold a cell phone, passport, small wallet, etc. There is also a small pocket for a key fob or reading glasses. The back of the bag has a zipper pocket for cash or coins. Trace and use the templates provided for cutting the bottom curves and shaping the flap. With individual pockets for all your essentials, the Amani Bag is perfect as a lightweight “grab and go” bag! This pattern was designed by Rosemary to honor and help the women of Amani. The Amani center is a sewing ministry that helps refugee women all across Africa find hope and peace through sewing, faith and relationship building. Finished sizes: 4-1/2” wide x 13” high when open, 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" x 7" when closed.

Materials needed:

• 1/2 yd fabric - outside and lining, pockets, strap
• 1/4 yd accent fabric - credit card pockets, small inside pocket adn straps (optional)
• 1/6 yd of lightweight fusible fleece Pellon 987F
• 1/2 yd Pellon Shape Flex SF101
• 6" nylon zipper
• 3/4" magnetic snaps
• (2) 1/2" or 3/4" D-rings
• (2) 1/2" or 3/4" swivel hooks
