Ditty - Knitted or Crochet Drawstring Ditties Pattern

The Ditty - Knitted or Crochet Drawstring Ditties 'Bags from Rags' pattern by Madge Ziegler is made from fabric strips and has instructions for making your own cording.  Finished size is about 10 inches tall.

Materials Needed:

• FABRICS:
• Crochet ditty bag - 2 1/8 yard main color, 1/2 yd accent fabric
• Knitted ditty bag - 1/2 yd for bottom and accent stripes (pink in photo)
• 5/8 yd (teal in photo)
• 3/8 yd (lavendar in photo)
• SUPPLIES:
• Crochet ditty bag - Size I crochet hook (or you may use size J)
• Knitted ditty bag - One pair size 13 straight knitting needles and size 13, 24 inch circular needle
• EACH DITTY BAG:
• Yarn needle, stitch markers or safety pins
• Rotary cutting supplies
• Commercial cording (2 1/2 yds) or make your own
• If desired, the ditty bags may be lined with large whipped topping containers or trimmed bleach bottles
