Gather All Around Bag Pattern

The Gather All Around Bag pattern by Indygo Junction is a roomy shoulder bag that uses either cotton fabric or recycled denim fabric strips.  Instructions are given for either purchased handles or fabric handles and there are 2 interior pockets.  Finished size is 15" H x 19" W x 7" D.

Materials Needed:

• 1 1/4 yd of 44" wide main fabric for handles, top hand, two gathered rows and the bottom
• 1/3 yd of 44" wide fabric for the 2nd gathered row (Fabric A)
• 5/8 yd of 44" wide fabric for the 4th gathered row (Fabric B)
• 1 1/4 yd of 44" wide fabric for the lining, lining bottom, and two interior pockets
• 1/2 yd of fleece interfacing
• One skein of Pearl cotton for decorative contrasting running stitch
• Large eyed sharp needle
• Chalk marking pencil
• OPTIONAL:  Machine embroidery design of your choice for the top band
• Gathering foot for your sewing machine
• Two 27" long leather handles
