Towel Totes Pattern

 The Towel Totes Pattern has 2 different designs and uses bought beach towels to make tote bags.  You can make 2 backpacks from a 34" x 60" beach towel or a large tote bag.  The finished size of the backpack tote is 14" wide x 16" high and the hand tote finished size measures 15" tall x 18" long x 5" deep, excluding the handles.

Materials Needed:

• TOWEL TOTE: 1 standard towel (minimum of 30" x 55") for larger
• Optional: 5" x 18" piece of plastic mesh for the bottom of your bag
• Optional:  Two 18" pieces of ribbon to secure the tote opening
• TOWEL BACKPACK:  1 standard towel (minimum 30" x 55") or larger (You can make 2 backpacks from 1 towel)
• 1 1/3 yd white 1/4" to 3/8" diameter cotton cording (this is the measurement for one backpack)
