4 Way Tote Pattern

The 4 Way Tote Pattern by Cheryl Kuczek of Paradiso Designs includes sewing instructions for making four different bag looks and two different straps/strap options. The choice of stabilizer allows sewists to decide the how firm to make the tote! Pattern templates are included for non-rectangular pattern pieces. Finished size: 10" H x 13" W x 3" D.

Materials needed:

• 2 fat quarters OR 1/2 yd fabric for Lining
• 1 yd muslin for Lining
• 1/2 yd In-R-Foam Stabilizer (#1, #2, #3) OR #326 Sew-In Fleece by Bosal (tote #4)
• 1/2 yd pleather OR Paradiso Pleather Kit #2
• Paradiso Hardware Buckle Set of 1" Buckles
• Look #1: Large scraps OR a Fat Quarter Bundle [8 different fabrics] & 1/2 yd Muslin
• Look #2: 3/8 yd fabric
• Look #3: 3 Fat Eights Dyed Wool OR Three 1/3 yd cuts of different wools (9.5" long)
• Look #4: Leather Hide, Medium Thickness, but pliable at least 36" long x 18" wide

  • Thicker Leather used for straps, must be purchased straps at 1" wide or if sewing them, a leather piece that is 5" wide x 30" long
• 80 Machine Needle fo woven fabric sewing
• 110 Leather Needle for Leatehr & Pleather sewing
• Key Hole Punch to punch holes for buckles
• Teflon Foot for sewing on Pleaterh or Leather
• Rotary Cutter, Board, & Rulers
