Springtime In Paris Pocketbook Pattern *

The Springtime In Paris Pocketbook pattern by Bari J. has 2 sizes included - the SMALL is 11"W x 5"H x3"d and the LARGE is 14"W x 6"H x 3"D.  There is a unique scalloped flap and this bag pattern can be made in either a patchwork style or a solid fabric.

Materials Needed:  Based on a 42" wide fabric

• Large/single fabric flap:
• For flap: 2 pieces of fabric no smaller than 16" x 10"
• Front and back panels - 1 fat quarter
• Lining - 1 fat quarter
• Fusible Fleece - 1 fat quarter
• 1/4 yard woven cotton fusible interfacing (22" wide)
• 12" zipper
• Small/single fabric flap:
• Same as for the large bag except use a 9" zipper
• Flap - 1 fat quarter
• Small/patchwork flap:
• Same as above but for the flap use fabric scraps no small than 6" square, and 1 piece of fabric no small than 13" x 9"
• Large/patchwork flap:
• All materials as for the single flap, but instead of 2 pieces of fabric for the flap you will need fabric scraps no smaller than 7" square, and 1 piece of fabric no smaller than 16" x 10"
• FOR ALL VERSIONS:
• Fabric glue
• Magnetic closure or 1 piece of 1/4" ribbon 3 1/2" long and a button
• One 12" piece of plastic canvas
• Optional - a walking foot for your sewing machine
• Handle - One 12" x 3" piece of fabric
• 1" wide ribbon - 12" long
