Sashiko Tote Pattern

The Sashiko Tote Pattern by Leesa Chandler features contemporary Japanese embroidery (Sashiko) features on the front of the bag and double purchased handles.  Finished size is 18" x 13" and pattern pieces are included for the side panels and the stitchery.

Materials Needed:

• Fabric for embroidery panel - fat 1/8th or 25cm/10"
• Main bag fabric (black in photo) - 50cm/20"
• Lining - 50cm/20"
• Pair of sew on handles or alternative
• 50cm/20" of medium to heavy weight adhesive vilene (interfacing)
• 50cm/20" of Batting or Pellon (adhesive optional)
• 5m/6 yards of two different Sashiko threads or Pearl embroidery threads
