Home Guard Clutch Bags Pattern *

The Home Guard Clutch Bags pattern by Charlie's Aunt is a vintage inspired clutch with features of the 1940's including military styling!  There are 2 designs included in this pattern - View 1 has 3 contrasting fabrics and View 2 has an alternative flap and front pocket.  Finished size is approximatley 8" H x 14" W.

Materials Needed:

• VIEW 1:
• 1/4 yard (25cm) of 45" (115cm) wide exterior fabric #1 (back and side fronts)
• 1/4 yard of 45" wide exterior fabric #2 (for center front panel and lining)
• 1/4 yard of 45" wide exterior fabric #3 (flap)
• 1/3 yard (30cm) of 36: (92cm) wide sew-in craft interfacing (for bag)
• 1/4 yard of 36" wide fusible interfacing (for flap)
• 1 magnetic snap set
• 1 large button 2" (5cm) in diameter to trim flap
• Optional handle measuring no more than 5" (13cm) across plus piece of fusible web approximately 3" x 6" (8cm x 15cm) for handle tabs
• VIEW 2:
• 1/3 yard (30cm) of 54" (140cm) or 1/2 yard (50cm) of 45" (115cm) wide exterior fabric
• 1/3 yard of 36" (92cm) wide lining fabric
• 1/3 yard of 36" wide sew-in craft interfacing (for the bag)
• 1/4 yard (25cm) of 36" (92cm) wide fusible interfacing (for flap)
• 1 magnetic snap set
• 2 large buttons 1 1/2" (35mm) diameter to trim flap
