Swag Bag Pattern

The Swag Bag pattern by Square Rose is a great everyday or even an overnight bag pattern with 6 organizational pockets inside and 2 outside pockets.  There are instructions for a secure zipper closure and options for strap lengths.  Finished size is approximately 11" deep x 8" wide x 15" long.

Materials Needed:

• Outer bag and pockets with four fabrics (shown on cover) -
• 3/8 yard of four fabrics or four fat quarters (18" x 22").  Fat quarters will required an additional 1/4 yard or fat quarter for the outside pockets, or the pockets can be pieced from leftover fabric.
• Outer bag and pockets with Two fabrics (No shown on cover) -
• 5/8 yard of two fabrics
• Straps, zipper placket, and bias binding - 1/2 yard of accent fabric
• Lining and inside pockets - 1 1/8 yards
• Fabric Bud Embellishments - approximately 2 yards of thin cording (1/4" or less in diameter)
• Fusible fleece for bag and straps - 7/8 yard of medium weight fusible fleece
• 14" or longer polyester/nylon coil zipper.  Do not get a zipper with large molded plastic or metal teeth.
• Temporary basting tape like Wonder Tape by Dritz is helpful but not required
