Quilted Travelers Tote Pattern

It's the perfect carry-on bag and a great tote to load with supplies for quilting & sewing classes.
Use double-sided quilted fabric that you make from your favorite fabrics following the panel-by-panel quilting directions.  Finished size (zipper panel up) 17 1/2" x 16" x 6"

Features include:

• Zip-top panel that opens and drops down inside or expands to hold contents.
• Directions for using already- quilted fabric if you don't want to quilt your own.
• An inside, zipped security pocket.
• Divided pockets on the outside with one of them zipped for safety.

Materials needed:

• 2 1/2 yds for tote body, zip top panel, and inside pocket
• 2 1/2 yds of coordinating fabric for lining
• 3/4 yd contrasting print or solid for bindings for pockets and bottom panel
• Lightweight interfacing - 12" x 24" strip for tote bottom panel for support
• 9" x 18" strip for added support inside the inner zippered pocket
• 28" x 52" piece of lightweight batting
• 1 yd cotton flannel for batting in outside pockets
• 22" long coil zipper
• Two 9" long coil zippers for pockets
• 3 1/4" yd 1" wide webbing for straps
• 1/4" wide fusible web tape
