Bridget Handbag Pattern *

The Bridget Handbag Pattern by Around The Bobbin is a stylish purse with double handles with instructions for 3 different handles styles, a contrasting bottom, and a secure top zipper closure - make this bag in a weekend!  Finished size is 8 1/2"H x 13"W x 5"D.

Materials Needed:  Fabric 42/44" wide in cotton quilting fabric, linens, or lighter weight decor fabrics

• 1/4 yard main exterior fabric for upper front and back exterior
• 1/2 yard (2/3 yard for extended handle) coordinating solid or print for lower exterior, lower lining, and handles
• 1/4 yard coordinating fabric for upper front and back lining
• 1/4 yard coordinating fabric for lining pockets
• Interfacing and Interlining:
• 1 and 3/4 yards (1 and 1/2 yards for extended handles) 20-22" medium weight woven fusible interfacing such as Pellon SF101 or Sew Lazy Face-It Soft
• 1/4 yard (1/2 yard for extended handle) 45" firm fusible interfacing such as Pellon Decor Bond
• 1 yard 20-22" nonfusible stabilizer such as Pellon 926 Extra Firm Stabilizer or Sew Lazy Stiff Stuff
• One 4-3/4"H x 13-1/4" W piece of Peltex or matte board to create a firm, flat purse bottom
