Book Pack Backpack Pattern *

2 different styles of book pack backpacks, one with a flying geese band design.  The top fastens with a heavy duty zipper and there is an additional zippered pocket. 

Materials Needed:

• STRIPED POCKET VERSION: Main body fabric - 1 yd
• 2-6 fabrics for striped pocket top - Scraps
• Pack bottom fabric - 1/2 yd
• Accent/binding fabric - 5/8 yd
• Lining fabric - 1 1/2 yd
• FLYING GEESE VERSION:  Main body fabric - 1 yd
• 1 to 6 fabrics for Flying Geese - Scraps
• Background for Flying Geese - 1/4 yd
• Pack bottom fabric - 1/2 yd
• Accent/binding fabric - 5/8 yd
• Lining fabric - 1 1/2 yd
• OTHER MATERIAL:  1 1/2 yd cotton or polyester needlepunch batting
• 1 1/2 yd muslin sub-lining
• 2 1/2 yd 1" wide cotton webbing
• 32" or longer heavy duty zipper
• 14" or longer heavy duty zipper
• One 2" D-ring, Two 1 1/2" D-rings, and two 1 1/2" adjustable slides
