The Penelope Purse Pattern (CD)

The Penelope Purse Pattern by Michelle Dorsey of SewMichelle is an easy to make handbag with double pockets on both exterior sides and decorative rick rack (optional) on the front. This bag has a unique shape that expands with magnetic snaps on each side so that the purse opens for even more room.  Inside is a special pleated pocket for holding your cell phone. Completion time is about 2 1/2 hours for an intermediate sewer.  NOTE: the step by step detailed instructions for this pattern are on a CD; printed paper instructions are NOT included. Finished size is 14" W x 11" H x 4 1/2" D.

• 1 1/2 yds of cotton fabric
• 1 yd of coordinating cotton fabric
• 1 1/2 yds of Pellon 809 Decor Bond Stabilizer
• 1 yf of Pellon 71F Single Sided Fusible Peltex
• 1 yd of 5/8" rick rack
• Wonder Tape
• 2 magnetic snaps
