Velma Bag Pattern *

The Velma Bag pattern by Amy Butler includes instructions, pattern pieces, and measurements to create your own Velma vintage HANDBAG & SHOULDER BAG.

 Materials Needed:

For the Shoulder Bag -  Finished size is 10 1/2"W x 6"H (15"H with the handle, which is 9" in length)

• 1/2 yard of light to mid-weight cotton for the exterior
• 3/8 yard of light to mid-weight cotton for the lining
• 1/4 yard of cotton canvas
• 1/8 yard of lightweight fusible interfacing
• 1" of Sew-on Velcro
• 31" of 1/2" cotton upholstery cording
• 1 spool of coordinating thread ­- I recommend cotton covered polyester thread.

For the Handbag -  Finished size is 10 1/2"W x 6"H (9 1/2"H with handle, which has a length of 3 1/2")

• 1/2 yard of light to mid-weight cotton for the exterior
• 3/8 yard of light to mid-weight cotton for the lining
• 1/4 yard of cotton canvas
• 1/8 yard of lightweight fusible interfacing
• 1" of Sew-on Velcro
• 15" of 1/2" cotton upholstery cording
• 1 spool of coordinating thread -­ I recommend cotton covered polyester thread.
