My Stitchin Bag Pattern

My Stitchin Bag Pattern by Suzanne Wenzlick of Suzanne's Art House includes sewing and stitching instructions for creating a Sashiko inspired Japanese rice bag (aka Komebukuro). These bags were traditionally made from scraps of fabric and stitched together wit a drawstring closer. Finished size: 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" square.

Materials needed:

• 1/4 yd + 10" square fabric - bag lining
• (10) 10" squares or scraps of assorted fabric - outside & bottom of bag
• 1/8 yd x WOF - handles OR (2) 40" strips of cording
• (5) 9" squares of Pellon 987F fusible fleece - outside of bag
• (5) 9" squares of Pellon Shape-Flex SF101 - lining
