Tote That! Pattern

The Tote That! Pattern by Kate Colleran Designs includes sewing instructions for creating an everyday handbag or market bag, in two sizes. There is an optional tab or recessed zipper closure.  Have fun with the braid insert to really make it your own! Finished sizes: SMALL - 9" H x 10" W x 4-1/2" D, LARGE - 13-1/2" H x 12-1/4" W x 5-1/2" D.

Materials needed SMALL (LARGE):

• 3/8 yd (5/8 yd) Fabric A - for strips on bag front and handles
• 1/2 yd (5/8 yd) Fabric B - for small triangle on bag front, bag outside back and inside pockets
• 5/8 yd (7/8 yd) Fabric C - for large triangles on bag front and lining
• 1-1/2" x 20" strips of 6-8 fabrics - braid fabrics [for each bag]
• 1-3/8 yds (1-7/8 yds) of 20" wide fusible lightweight interfacing (Shape Flex)
• 1/2 yd (5/8 yd) fusible heavyweight interfacing (Decor Bond)
• template plastic or Mini Braid Template SLD1620 for cutting the braid shapes
• Optional supplies
  • small decorative buton for tab closure OR magnetic snap closure
  • 14" (16") zipper - for recessed zipper
