Shoulder Tote Pattern

This shoulder tote bag pattern by Quilts Illustrated is great for carry your everyday needs and makes a great (and easy) gift for family and friends.  Finished size is 14" x 16" x 5".

Materials Needed:

• Front & Back - 3/4 yd which includes enough for a 5" x width of fabric handle
• Front pocket - fat quarters of various prints and scraps for all patch pieces
• Lining - 2/3 yd contrasting fabric
• Inside pocket - Fat quarter or 1/3 yd
• Cover for bottom cardboard insert - use scraps or fat quarter or 1/3 yd
• Shoulder strap - 44" of matching cotton webbing or a 5" x width of fabric piece from any fabric for contrasting handles
• Pellon fusible fleece 987f - 2 yds of 45" wide
• Heavy cardboard or Matte board for bottom
