Travel Case and Shoulder Purse Pattern

The Travel Case & Shoulder Purse Pattern by Seams & Dreams has instructions for a large octagonal zippered travel bag that will work well for school, travel, or work.  Also included are instructions for a shoulder purse.  The finished size of the Travel Case is 15", the Shoulder Purse is 11", and there is also a 12" shoulder purse pattern that is made from quilting cotton.

Materials Needed:

• Travel Case from heavy fabric (44" wide)
• Front & Back - 1/2 yard
• Band & Lining - 1 1/2 yards
• Pocket & inner dividers - 1/4 yard
• Strap - 1/8 yard
• 45" upholstery zipper (non-separating)
• Strap adjuster buckle for 1" strap
• Mat board or sturdy cardboard (4) 3 1/2" x 7 3/4"
• 3 1/2 yards of 1/2" rickrack
• 11" Shoulder Purse from heavy fabric
• Front, Back, Band, and strap - 2/3 yards
• Lining - 3/4 yard
• 1 1/2" piece of 3/4" hook & loop tape
• 12" Shoulder Purse from regular quilting cottons
• Front, Back, & band - (3) Fat Eights or (2) 1/4 yards of (2) Fat Quarters
• Straps & Pocket - (1) Fat Eight or (1) 1/4 yard or (1) Fat Quarter
• Lining - 5/8 yard
• 3/4 yard stabilizer, such as Peltex
• Fusible midweight interfacing
• 2" piece of 3/4" hook & loop tape
