The Strippy Tote Pattern

The Strippy Tote Pattern by Seams & Dreams is made from 2 1/2" strips of fabric - use up your scraps for a unique bag!  Instructions are given for pockets inside and out and include a fun flower tab for the front of your bag. Two sizes are included: Tote #1 is 15" x 11" x 4" and Tote #2 is 20" x 11" x 4".

Materials Needed:

TOTE #1:

• Outer tote (9) 2 1/2" strips of fabric
• Braided Strap - (6) 2 1/2" strips
• Tab Closure - (1) 2 1/2" strip or scrap of fabric
• Flower - (3) 2 1/2" strips
• Innerlining - 7/8 yard of Peltex or similar stabilizer at least 20" wide
• Inside pockets - 1/4 yard
• Lining - 1/2 yard
• (1) 3/4" piece of 3/4" wide hook & loop tape and 4 large buttons

TOTE #2:

• Outer tote - (10) 2 1/2" strips of fabric
• Strap (2) 2 1/2" strips and (2) 2 1/2" strips of lightweight interfacing
• Phone Pocket - (2) 4 1/2" x 7" of fabric
• Top Edge Binding - (1) 2 1/2" strip
• Flower - (3) 2 1/2" strips
• Innerlining - 7/8 yard of Peltex or similar stabilizer at least 20" wide
• Inside Pockets - 1/4 yard
• Lining - 1/2 yard
• Large  snap or other closure, large button for center of flower, snap-in grommets (4) with 1" center opening
