Asian Fan Purse Pattern

The Asian Fan Purse Pattern by La Todera is a roomy handbag that has a comfortable over the shoulder handle, a lined cell phone pocket inside, and is fat quarter friendly.  Finished size measures 20" across the widest point on the bottom of the bag.

Materials Needed:

• PURSE:
• Template plastic
• Pellon fusible fleece (987F), 15' x 42" piece
• 8 fat quarters or fabric scraps
• 1/2" magnetic snap set
• Lining fabric - 1/2 yard
• 12" of 3/8" wide heavy grosgrain ribbon
• MATERIALS FOR STRAP:
• Strip of denim 3" x 21" (corduroy, velveteen or other heavy fabric may be substituted)
• (2) 1 1/4" metal D-rings
• (1) 1 1/4" by 20 1/2" strip of Pellon fusible fleece (cut from leftovers)
• OR
• Store brought 1" wide handle, 22" total length, including rings
