Kennebunk Carryall Pattern

The Kennebunk Carryall Pattern by Sue Michaels of Dragonfly Fiberart includes sewing instructions for creating a fun to make bag using 2-1/2" strips or fat quarters. Rectangles are sewn in a brick pattern to get the look and lots of opportunity to topstitch and showcase machine embroidery stitches if desired. Six handy pockets inside. Finished sizes: version A - 19" x 14" x 6"; version B - 14" x 16" x 6".

Materials needed version A [version B]:

• 3/4 yd [3/4 yd] contrast fabric
• (20) strips or (10) fat quarters [same] - outer bag sides, handles
• 7/8 yd [1/2 yd] fabric - inside pockets
• 1 yd [3/4 yd] Decor Bond
• 1 yd [3/4 yd] Thermolan Plus Fusible Fleece
• 12" x WOF [same] Peltex Fusible for Base
• (3) coordinating colors 7" square scraps for each flower, pin back, decorative bead or button for the center.
• 1 1/2" to 2" button to cover (square or round) or a decorative button or bead.
