Mamacita Tote Pattern

The Mamacita Pattern by Joanna Marsh of Kustom Kwilts includes sewing instructions for creating  a great carry all bag that can be customized to include all 7 interior pockets, or you can select which to add. Slender pockets are great for pens and chapstick, and the wide pockets help you wrangle your phone with ease. The generous size makes this the perfect tote for everything! Try embroidering a bold design on the front of your bag or quilt the fabric for a great finish. Fabrics used in the cover photo are from De La Luna by Tula Pink. I have been sewing this tote for years and the bags hold up like no other I’ve ever made. Skill level is intermediate, and pattern has step-by-step instructions with pictures to guide you through. Fabric labels are included to help you label each cut of fabric. Picture diagrams with each piece are labeled for ease of selecting your fabrics. Resource page included. Pattern includes templates and options for creating your own using quilting cotton OR vinyl and oilcloth. Finished sizeL 14" W x 13 1/2" H x 5" D.

Materials needed:

• 1 yd Fabric A - quilting cotton or vinyl
• 1 yd Fabric B - quilting cotton or vinyl
• 1 yd Fabric C - quilting cotton or vinyl
• 1-1/2 yds of 1-1/4" wide cotton webbing
• 1/2 yd Pellon 70 Sew-in stabilizer
• 1 yd Soft and Stable OR Pellon Flex Foam
• 3-1/4 yds Pellon SF101 (if using quilting cotton)
• (8) 8mm double cap rivets and rivet tool
• Heavy duty janps size 24 (2 complete sets) and snap pliars
  • Optional if you don't want gussetted sides
• 3/4" magnetic snap
• 9" zipper
