Home Cooking Casserole Cover Pattern

The Home Cooking Casserole Cover Pattern is a great way to carry that home made casserole with you!  Instructions are given on how to insulate your cover and  it even coverts to a table runner when opened.  This casserole cover is great for either cold desserts or hot dishes and can hold either a 9 " x 13" casserole dish or an 8" x 8" dish.  The table runner for the 9" x 13" dish measures 16" x 36" and the table runner for the 8" x 8" dish measures 10 1/2" x 34 1/2".  A template is included for the bird applique.

Materials Needed:

• FOR  9" x 13" DISH:  Main fabric - 1 5/8 yards (1.5m)
• Binding and Backing - 7/8 yard (.75m)
• Border Squares - 12 squares 5" each OR 6 assorted fat 1/8ths
• Insul-Bright Batting (22" wide) - 2 3/8 yards (2.15m)
• Applique - Scraps for bird, wing, beak and feet
• FOR 8" x 8" DISH:  Main fabric - 1 1/2 yard (1.3m)
• Binding and Backing - 5/8 yard (.5m)
• Border Squares - 10 squares measuring 5" each OR 5 assorted fat 1/8ths
• Insul-Bright Batting (22" wide) - 1 1/8 yard (1m)
• Applique - Scraps for bird, wing, beak and feet
