The Little Borrower Book Bag Pattern

The Little Borrower Book Bag Pattern by Natalie Ross has a single strap, a front flap, and an owl applique for the front!  Finished size is 13" x 13 1/2" excluding handle.

Materials Needed:

• 12" of colored polkadot print fabric for flap and handle
• 14" of printed fabric for bag and flap lining
• One fat 1/8th each of red, blue and yellow tone on tone print fabric
• Fat 1/4th of printed fabric for back of bag
• 10" of green tone on tone print fabric for leaf
• 10" of chosen color tone on tone print fabric for circle
• 3" x 14" strip of black Homespun for letters
• Fabric scraps in blue, red, yellow, off-white, brown and black for owl applique
• 15" length of Jumbo Ric Rac braid
• 40" of iron-on Pellon
• 2 large decorative buttons approximately 1 1/2" in diameter
• Vliesofix (fusible webbing) for applique
• DMC embroidery threads to match chosen fabrics for applique
