Useful Things Patterns

The Useful Things Pattern by Heart To Hand has instructions for a yoga mat bag, a tote bag, and a wool wallet!  The Tote has instructions for flower decorations and the yoga mat has comfortable shoulder straps.  The Wallet also has a from floral decoration.  Some pattern pieces are included.

Materials Needed:  Scraps of wool fabric for flower and leaf appliques, embroidery floss for appliqueing, Darning needle

• For Yoga Bag:  1 1/3 yards of heavy weight fabric for bag
• 3/4 yard cotton fabric for lining
• 1/3 yard brown cottom fabric for pockets
• 13" x 13" thin needlepunch fleece
• Two 12" zippers (optional)
• Ten 1/4" - 1/2" buttons for flower centers
• 2 yards jute upholstery webbing for handles
• 2" of 5/8" wide Velcro
• Tote Bag: 5/8 yard heavy weight fabric for bag
• 5/8 yard cotton fabric for lining
• 1/4 yard cotton fabric for lower portion of bag
• 10" x 19" wool for bag bottom and procet trim
• 12" x 24" cotton fabric for pocket
• 12" x 12" thin needlepunch fleece
• Five 1/2" to 3/4" buttons for pocket flower centers and four 1/4" buttons for handle end flowers
• 2 yards jute upholstery webbing for handles
• Wool Wallet:
• 10" x 16" piece of wool
• 10" x 26" cotton fabric
• 1" button
