Expandable Tote Pattern

The Expandable Tote pattern is designed by Barb Sackel of Rose Cottage Quilting and has side gussets that allow this bag to expand.  Finished size is 17" x 15" x 8" and this pattern is recommended for the advanced beginner.

Materials Needed:

• FABRIC: Black - 3/4 yd
• Blue - 1/2 yd
• Beige - 1/2 yd
• Brown - 1/3 yd
• Scraps (flower, center, and leaves) OR (heart, star, and spools)
• Lining - 1 1/8 yd
• Heavy weight fusible interfacing - 3 yds
• Fusible web product - 1/4 yd
• Foam core board or matboard 8" x 17"
• Fine point marker
• Medium size pony tail holders (2 or 3 if you wish to have a center closure)
• Exacto knife
