Portfolio Schlepping Bag Pattern

The Portfolio Schlepping Bag Pattern by Janice Pope of Anything But Boring includes sewing instructions for creating a take to class bag measuring 24" x 35". Optional inside pockets, and the sides of the bag may be stitched closed or zippered close.

Materials needed:

• 1 5/8 yds outer fabric
• 1 1/2 yds lining fabric
• 1 1/2 yds batting, fusible fleece or foam
• 1/4 yd fabric for handle
• (2) 24" separating zippers (optional, for zippered sides)
• Optional Inside Pockets:
  • 1 1/2 yds coordinated fabric
  • 1 yd heavyweight interfacing (Decorbond)
  • 6" Velcro for pocket closure
