Butterflies and Blooms Pattern

The Butterflies and Blooms is a pattern to make a toy bag with a butterfly applique and a tote bag with a drawstring and with applique flowers for a little girl.  The finished size of the bag is 14" x 21".  A pattern pieces for the front pocket is included.

Materials Needed:

• BUTTERFLY TOY BAG:  Fat 1/8th of approximately 16 - 20 different colored fabrics for squares, daisies and applique
• 40cm (16") of background fabric for main part of bag
• 40cm (16") of fabric for lining
• 10cm (4") fabric for handles
• 20cm (8") of fusible webbing (able to be sewn)
• BLOOM TOTE BAG:  35cm (14") of main fabric for bag
• Assorted fabric scraps for applique and daisies - need at least 8 - 10 different fabrics
• 10cm (4") fabric for casing
• 2m (2 yards) of cord for drawstring
• 35 cm (14") fabric for lining
• 20cm (8") fusible webbing (able to be sewn)
• 12 beads for ends of drawstring cord (optional)
• 35cm (14") of pom pom braid (optional)
