At Home Messenger Tote Pattern

The At Home Messenger Tote pattern has multiple fabrics and pieced fabric trees and a home on the front.  There is a single shoulder strap and finished size is 12" high x 14" wide x 2" deep (excluding handles).

Materials Needed:

• One 2 1/2" strip each of seven different print fabrics for bag front, back, and handle.
• One fat 1/4 for bag flap
• 15cm (6") fabric for bag side and base strip and side tabs
• The following is needed for applique on bag flap
• One - 4 1/2" x 16" or 12x41cm piece for the hill 
• One 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" or 12x14cm piece for the house
• One 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" or 9x14cm piece for the roof
• One 5" square or 13cm square for door and windows
• One 9" x 10" or 23x26cm piece for trees
• Two 6" (15cm) squares of chosen fabric for pocket
• 22" (55cm) fabric for lining
• One 2 1/2" (6 1/2cm) strip for handle lining
• 24"(60cm) iron-on Pellon
• 2 large silver rings for sides approximately 1 3/4" (4 1/2cm)
• 4 buttons for handle (optional)
