Angel Pin Carry Bag Pattern

 The Angel Pin Bag is Country Primitive at it's best!  This cute carry bag by designer Rosalie Dekker includes complete instructions for an angel pin that fastens on the front.  Finished size is 33 cm x 41 cm (13 1/2" wide x 16" tall ) including straps.

Materials Needed:

• 10 cm ( 1/8 yd) widths of 9 different fabrics in your favorite colors (colors used on this bag are pinks, greens, reds, and whites).
• 80 cm (7/8 yd) Pellon
• 40 cm (1/2 yd) fabric for lining
• 20cm (1/4 yd) fabric for handles
• DMC 6-strand embroidery floss in matching colors to your fabric
• Extra large button

Requirements for Angel pin:

• 30 cm (12 ") square of tea- or coffee-stained calico
• Square or rectangular doily with decorative edge or 30 cm (12") square of white homespun or linen.
• 20 cm (8") square of fabric (for pantaloons)
• Scrap of Pellon
• Small amount of polyester toyfill (stuffing).
• DMC 6-strand embroidery floss (Brown 839 for hair)
• DMC 6-strand embroidery floss (Pink 3354).
• Acrylic Folk Art Paint (Titanium White and Permanent Alizarine)
• Matt Varnish water-based polyurethane
• Tiny star or other button
• 1 brooch back
• 1/4" flat paint brush
• Powder blush
• Wooden skewer
• Brown pigma pen (a special craft pen - the ink doesn't smear after it is dry.  Available in craft stores).
