Hexagon Purse Pattern *

The Hexagon Purse Pattern by The Birdhouse Designs is a half moon shaped bag with a top zipper and round stitchery designs on the front.  Finished size is 6" x 3 1/2" (15cm x 8cm).

Materials Needed:

• 20cm x 50cm (8" x 20") fabric for purse outer, or 40-45 , 2" scraps for pieced hexagon outer plus 20cm x 10cm (8" x 4") and 10cm (4") square gusset fabrics
• 20cm x 50cm (8" x 20") lining fabric
• 10cm (4") square of seeded homespun for stitchery
• DMC stranded embroidery thread, 221 red
• 20cm x 25cm (8" x 10") thin cotton wadding
• 15cm (6") dress zipper
• lightweight, iron-on interfacing wuch as Whisperweft
• Template plastic
• Tan, fine-point pigment pen of HB pencil
• Seam ripper
• Embroidery scissors
• 10cm square of woven wool (optional)
• Thin cardboard
