Cheryl's Bag Pattern

Cherly's Bag Pattern is a quilted handbag made from fabric scraps that comes with instructions for stitchery designs and measures 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" when completed.

Materials Needed:

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
• 15 different scraps of fabric for outside the bag
• 20cm (8") of fabric for the bag top and handles
• 30cm (12") of fabric for the bag lining
• 40cm (16") of iron-on Pellon
• FOR STITCHERY BAG: 1 skein of each of the following D.M.C. threads:
• 611 - red / 680 - mustard / 632 - earth / 936 - green (or four colors to match your own fabrics)
• Fabric pen / 3B pencil for transferring design onto fabric
• 3 x pieces of lace to sew on and 2 x sets of buttons
• FOR BUTTONS BAG: A variety of buttons to suit your fabrics
• Use whatever embellishments you like to stitch or use none - just beautiful fabrics!
• Embroidery stitches used: Backstitch, Satin Stitch, Running Stitch, French Knot, and Lazy Daisy
