Somewhere Over The Rainbow Bag Pattern *

The Somewhere Over The Rainbow Bag Pattern by The Janelle Wind Collection is a quilted handbag pattern with a front messenger style flap on the front and a large decorative pocket on the back.  Finished size is approximately 10 1/2" H x 12 1/2" across the widest edge (27cm x 32cm).

Materials Needed:

• 35cm (14") fabric for main bag
• 35cm (12") fabric for bag flap and bag flap lining
• One fat 1/8th each of TWO print fabrics for outside pocket pieces
• 35cm (14") for bag lining (inside pocket can be cut from this or main print fabric scraps)
• One 2" strip each of TWO print fabrics for handles (this is the exact width needed - will be cut to length during construction)
• 60cm (24") iron on Pellon or batting/wadding of choice
• Additional fabric scraps for applique and contrast corners on main bag
• Roxanne's Glue Baste It or equivalent for applique - threads to match applique fabrics
• Optional - "stitch in" magnetic clasps for main bag and outside pocket flaps
• Optional - 29mm (1 1/2") self cover button for outside bag flap
